Claimant Entitled To Attorney Fee Award, California Federal Judge Holds
LOS ANGELES – A California federal judge on April 21 awarded more than $400,000 in attorney fees to a claimant who won summary judgment in her wrongful denial of benefits claim against an ERISA-governed disability insurer (Camilla Kochenderfer v. Reliance Standard Life Insurance Co., et al., No. 06-00620, S.D. Calif.; 2010 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 41330).
