Question by Katie: I’m going to Italy and Greece with a tour company, they strongly recommend getting traveler insurance…?
Now the insurance is about $ 300 and covers just about anything you could think of. I just don’t know if it is really worth it, I’m already paying thousands of dollars for this trip i don’t want to fork over $ 300 if its not necessary. By the way the travelers insurance is a separate company, not the same as the tour company im using.

I’ve never purchased travel insurance and never felt the need to, I’ve always viewed it as a bit of a scam. I would recommend that you skip it (the travel insurance, not the trip to Greece. Have fun!)
