Question by Ezekiel97: people who have Travelers insurance. Did your rates go up if you got into a hit and run accident?
I got hit approx. a month ago in my drivers bumper. I didnt notice it because you can barely see it. About a month later my car shakes. I want to report it to the insurance but I dont want my rates to go up. so did anyone who have TRAVELERS (not any other insurance) that reported a hit and run have their rates go up?

The best bet in that case is to contact your insurance agent. If, by some chance, you are direct with Travelers, call the help line. Tell your agent what happened and let the agent advise you to what to do. Just because you let your agent know what happened does not mean that a claim will be filed.
Probably the first thing that you would need to do is to get a couple estimates from reputable repair shops. That will not only give you something to show your agent but it will also let you know the cost of repair. If the damage will cost less than your deductible, there is no point in filing a claim. There would be no payment until your deductible is exhausted.
If you do decide to file a claim for this, it may be possible (if your agent is an independent agent) for your agent to quote other carriers for you, reporting the loss, and see what rates other carriers offer,
