U.S. Recession Continues to Impede Future Recovery and Hold Back Americans Says New Report From Absolute Rights
(PRWEB) January 15, 2012
The conservative think tank Absolute Rights has released a new report which says that the U.S. recession could continue for many years unless specific economic problems are addressed soon. The think tank says that the causes of the recession continuing include the outsourcing of jobs and penalizing corporations in the U.S. With excessive insurance fees due to the recently passed health care legislation, as well as policies on oil. Other factors are explained as well in the report.
Absolute Rights policy expert Wallace Streete says that For over three years we have been hearing about a recession which allegedly ended in the third quarter of 2010. Most of us know that this simply is not the case. We hear about pesky unemployment levels hovering around 9% and illusory growth. When we look around us, however, there are many reasons to believe that the end of our financial problems are nowhere in sight.
Mr. Streete says that real unemployment rates in the U.S. are closer to 20%: Real unemployment is far closer to 20% putting us not-so-far below Great Depression levels. More and more Americans are choosing to drop out of the job hunt every day and even more have given up hope of ever returning to their pre-crisis earning levels. This depressing fact is what allows the official unemployment numbers to remain so low. The media supports this lie though it is huge as a house. As a result, Americans are fighting for their survival through the gracious, stoic and self empowering methods of fiscal conservatism; trimming their economic fat and tightening their belts. We are chopping up our credit cards, paying down debts, renting movies instead of visiting theaters and cooking at home instead of frequenting restaurants. We are decreasing our consumption in a disciplined effort to heal our economic body back to health.

How much of life insurance company profit results from beneficiaries not knowing that a company sold a policy?
Question by StephenWeinstein: How much of life insurance company profit results from beneficiaries not knowing that a company sold a policy?
I have seen many questions here along the lines of either (a) a person died and had life insurance, but I do not have the policy and do not know what company sold the policy, or (b) a person died and I do not know if that person had life insurance.
How much of the profit that life insurance companies make is because the company does not receive a claim when an insured person dies, either because the beneficiary did not know that there was a life insurance policy, or because the beneficiary does not know what company issued the policy?

Most of those people, are just HOPING to find life insurance money sitting around now that their relative has died.
70% of Americans die WITHOUT active life insurance in place. 95% of policies sold – not any particular type, but all types, across the board – stay in force less than five years, and don’t pay out because they cancel first.
So the insurance companies make very very little profit off of insurance policies that never get claimed. The vast majority of their profits, are off the reserves.
But it’s a good reminder – it’s very, very important for everyone who HAS life insurance, to tell at LEAST two different people where to find it – and their will, and where their bank accounts are.
It’s ALSO pretty easy to track DOWN life insurance once someone dies – as active policies send out a statement every year, even if they ARE paid in full. And if they’re not, they will send out BILLS.

Description:
There is general agreement amongst economists and ecologists that transportation is an important contributor to greenhouse gas emissions. Typical proposals to reduce the demand for transportation, and consequently emissions, focus on imposing a fuel tax or a direct fee on vehicles. This paper outlines the method and advantages of treating the environmental risk as additional pseudo coverage rated under existing property and liability motor vehicle insurance systems.

New Report from IBHS Evaluates Building Codes in 18 Coastal States
(PRWEB) January 09, 2012
The Insurance Institute for Business & Home Safety (IBHS) today released a new report which provides an analysis of residential building codes in the 18 hurricane-prone coastal states along the Gulf of Mexico and the Atlantic Coast. Building codes are intended to increase the safety and integrity of structures, thereby reducing deaths, injuries and property damage from hurricanes and a wide range of other hazards.
Rating the States: An Assessment of Residential Building Codes and Enforcement Systems for Life Safety and Property Protection in Hurricane Prone Regions is the first of its kind, state-by-state assessment of individual state performance in developing and promulgating a residential building code system, which uses modern building codes, coupled with strong enforcement related activities to enhance the protection of homes and families.
The report goes beyond just evaluating each states code system, said Julie Rochman, IBHS president and CEO. The report offers each state the detailed information and tools it needs to improve its building code process to better protect its citizens. It also gives interested citizens useful information so that they can understand the need for, and demand, better building codes.
The report combines IBHS engineering expertise and regulatory research to examine the three main elements of a states building code system:

Can you help me pick out low priced Traveler’s Insurance from USA?
Question by Nick E: Can you help me pick out low priced Traveler’s Insurance from USA?
I am traveling to New Zealand from the USA and need to have Traveler’s Insurance for my Holiday Visa. Can anyone suggest a low priced insurance company?
Best answer:
Answer by ratrat1
Try Squaremouth. It’s a comparison site that has a sort by price feature. Enter zero as your trip cost as this will cut out the cancellation benefit and reduce the cost. Once on the price page the site shows you the medical cover for each plan, look for the minimum amount you need for your visa and pay the cheapest price.

I have private health insurance and insurance from work?
Question by booming_creation: I have private health insurance and insurance from work?
I have private health insurance from blue cross blue shield, I also get blue cross blue-shield from the work I do for the state. If I was to use the insurance from my work would it be a conflict with the insurance I privately have? I was told that they would cancel each other out and I would lose my private insurance. Is this true??? I don’t really want to lose my private insurance for health and security reasons but I also don’t want to keep paying more if i don’t have to in the long run.

Answer by Insurancetips
If you have two insurance one from work and the other is private, than you will not get the benefit for the same illness from both places – ie. supposing you have a bill of medicines of $ 100/- you will not be paid $ 100/- from both your employers insurance and your private insurance.
You can claim for the benefits which the employee plan is not contributing to from your private plan or any amount that exceeds the employee limit from your private plan.
Yes, you are paying higher amounts if you are paying for both the plans. Whether this is advisable can be said if you go to an agent or compare both the plans and find out what the differences are. Secondly you need to decide the coverages you need and than take a decision.
