Does anyone have Traveler’s Auto Insurance?

Question by ivegotquestions: Does anyone have Traveler’s Auto Insurance?
I got a quote from a travelers auto insurance agent thats a good $ 75 less a month than what im paying now to progressive. The coverage isnt even bottom of the line either, its all the “recommended” selections. Anyone have any experience with them?

best company we`ve ever had no exceptions, they ` re pretty good, pay claims promptly, dont quibble about fault, get damaged cars fixed right away, to your satisfaction, all that they ask for is to get paid promptly when the next payment is up, and that is usually done with an automatic bank transfer

How can a government, who supposedly stays as far out of a capitalist economy as possible, enforce that you purchase auto insurance? Isnt that a consumers right to buy or not buy?

One could argue that the privilege to drive at all is granted by the government, and you should abide by their requirements. But by that logic, wouldnt having insurance first be a prerequisite before you could get licensed?

No, your logic is flawed. In this country we insure cars, not drivers. It is not driving that is illegal but driving a car which is not insured. I agree with a point you suggest however, in that I think we should insure drivers, not cars. Thus the government could colect a fee fro every driver and enforce a minimum insurance police on every driver then leave it to drivers to obtain more insurance if they want.

I have a friend who has state farm and pays 100 a month.

Also believe it or not I have another friend who got insurance under her parents insurance company and she got a discount for it.. She is under Progressive and pay 50 dollars a month. I’m a male and I can only dream of my insurance being $ 50. That isn’t going to happen.
Is that all state?

You should put the car in your parent’s name and then pay that insurance. I was able to get $ 60 a month on a van when I had my first car that way.

My friend and I are both college students ( so keep your rude Obama comments to yourself please, we are working towards better ourselves ) I got put under my dads insurance which really helps because I dont have the money to pay for college and health care. But my friend’s father lives in Vegas and we live in Indiana. So is she still able?

I tried googling it but wasnt very useful.

I’m pretty sure that as long as you are in school you can be on your parents insurance. But just have her dad call the insurance company.
