What does the State of Maryland accept for vehicle insurance?
Question by : What does the State of Maryland accept for vehicle insurance?
I currently have full coverage insurance in another state, and my policy is not up until the end of January. Is it possible to re-new my insurance in my current state even if I move to Maryland next week? My rates are CHEAP here! And technically, I will have insurance for my vehicle!

If your present insurer is licensed to sell insurance in Maryland, then you may remain with them……BUT…. You will be rated at your new Maryland address, which may or may not be the same rate as you are now paying. You need to call your present insurer to report your change of address anyway. Failure to do that may result in denial of coverage in the case of a claim.
Always communicate with your insurer. (read your policy) Leave nothing to assumptions
